What is the Zap Pad?
A 5,000mAh magnetic wireless power bank with a fold-flat stand. It snaps magnetically to the back of MagSafe iPhones and charges wirelessly at up to 15W, or by USB‑C cable at up to 22W.
Which phones does the Zap Pad work with?
All MagSafe iPhone models, meaning every iPhone from 12 through 17 in all sizes including Pro, Pro Max, Plus and mini. It also charges Qi-enabled Android phones such as Samsung S21 onwards and Pixel 6 and later, which work best with a magnetic ring accessory, plus Qi AirPods cases. It does not charge Apple Watch.
Can I take the Zap Pad on a plane?
Yes, in carry-on baggage. At 5,000mAh it is well under the 100Wh airline limit for lithium batteries, and it is UN38.3 certified and air freight approved. Power banks must never be placed in checked luggage.
Does the Zap Pad charge through a phone case?
Yes, through thin non-metallic cases. Very thick cases, or cases containing metal or magnetic parts, can interfere and may need to be removed. It performs best on a case with a built-in MagSafe magnetic ring.
How much charge does the Zap Pad deliver?
Approximately 100 to 120% of a typical phone battery from its 5,000mAh cell.
How long does the Zap Pad take to recharge?
About 1.5 to 2 hours over USB‑C. Four green LEDs on the display indicate a full charge.
