Does the Zip Zap Plus Gen 3 need a cable?
No. The Gen 3 has a built-in USB‑C or Lightning connector and a bracket that clips to the back of the phone, so no cable is required. You choose the connector type at purchase.
What battery cell does the Zip Zap Plus Gen 3 use?
A genuine Samsung SDI 5,500mAh lithium-ion cell. Cell manufacturer is the single largest factor in how a power bank performs over its life and under heat, which is why we specify the cell rather than describe it.
Can I take the Zip Zap Plus Gen 3 on a plane?
Yes, in carry-on baggage. At 5,500mAh it sits well under the 100Wh limit airlines apply to lithium batteries. It is UN38.3 certified and approved for air freight. Power banks must never go in checked luggage.
Which phones does the Zip Zap Plus Gen 3 fit?

How much charge does it deliver?
At least one full charge on iPhone 14 and newer, and 150 to 200% on older models such as iPhone 7 or 8. The USB‑C model fast charges at 22.5W, adding up to about 2% of phone battery per minute.
What safety protections does it have?
Six protection circuits run continuously: over-charge, over-discharge, over-voltage, over-current, short-circuit and over-temperature cutoff. The product is CE, FCC, UKCA, RCM and UN38.3 certified, holds MSDS documentation and has passed 1.3m drop testing.
Does it work with a phone case?
It works with all standard-sized cases. It may not fit flip or wallet fold cases, rugged or indestructible cases such as the thickest Otterbox models, thick plastic cases, or cases with raised edges.
What warranty does it come with?
A 12-month warranty against defects in materials or workmanship. A covered fault within 12 months is replaced at no cost. This is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
